Recipe to Small Holiday Cookie Jars 🙂

Ingredients for the Jar:

  1. 3/4 Cup of All-Purpose flour
  2. 1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
  3. 1/3 Cup powdered sugar
  4. 1/4th tsp of Baking Soda
  5. 1/4th tsp of Salt
  6. Desired portion of M&Ms or Chocolate Chips

Ingredients for batter:

  1. 1 Egg
  2. 4 Tbsp of Butter
  3. 1/4th tsp of Vanilla Essence (optional)

NOTE: Pre-heat oven to 350 C for 10 minutes.

Baking Procedure:


1.  Separate out the M&Ms or chocolate chips.

2.  In a bowl invert the remaining ingredients and add butter, vanilla extract and egg. Beat the mixture until smooth .

3. Now add the M&Ms or chocolate chips to the cookie batter and mix well.

4. Freeze the batter for 15-20 minutes before baking.

5. Now make small cookie balls and place them 3 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

  1. 1 peeled Beet
  2. 2 Carrots
  3. 2 Cups of Water
  4. Pinch of Salt
  5. Pinch of Sugar
  6. Pinch of Cumin powder


Blend in Beet, Carrot, and water; followed by adding pinch of salt, sugar, cumin powder 🙂

NOTE: Straining is optional:)

Recipe to Chocolate Flourless Cake:)

  1. 1/4 Cup of Semi-sweet baking Chocolate chips
  2. 1/4 Cup of Dark baking Chocolate chips
  3. 1 Stick of unsalted room temperature butter
  4. 3 large eggs at room temperature
  5. 1/2 Cup of Cocoa powder
  6. 3/4 Cup powdered sugar

NOTE: Pre-heat oven to 350 C for 10 minutes.



1. In a microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips with butter in interval of 15 seconds and keep mixing it intermittently until a smooth consistency is achieved.





2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth consistency is achieved.



3. Now whisk in the chocolate batter into the egg mixture and mix well.


4. Pour the mixture into a butter greased pan and bake it for 25-40 minutes at 350 C

Recipe to Sooji ka Halwa:)

Recipe to homemade Indian Semolina Sweet\ Sooji ka Halwa:)


  1. 1/2 Cup Ghee\Clarified butter
  2. 1 Cup of Semolina\Sooji
  3. Handful of Raisins
  4. Handful of Cashews
  5. 2 1/2 Cups of Hot Water
  6. 3/4 Cup of Sugar


For Sugar Syrup:

1. In a pan, add water and sugar.

2. Allow the sugar to dissolve by stirring the syrup consistently until the syrup starts boiling.

Note 1: Maintain the heat on medium flame.

Note 2: Dont allow the syrup to thicken.


1. In a wok, heat the clarified butter\ghee on medium flame, and follow it up by adding and sauteing cashews and raisins.

2. Now add Semolina\Sooji to wok, and keep stirring it intermittently until Sooji turns golden and starts oozing out ghee. This will take about 10-15 minutes.

3. Now add the sugar syrup into the wok and let it cook for another 5-7 minutes. Cook on low flame and keep stirring the mixture.

Your Homemade Sooji ka Halwa is ready!!

Recipe to make Kerela masala:)

  1. 5 Kerelas\Bitter Gourd
  2. 1 Small finely chopped Onion
  3. 2 Green Chilis
  4. 1/4th tsp of Cumin seeds\Jeera
  5. 1 Tbsp Oil
  6. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  7. 1 tsp Garlic paste
  8. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  9. Pinch of Red Chili (as per taste)
  10. 1/4th tsp Salt
  11. 1-2 Tbsp of Coriander powder
  12. 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
  13. 1/4th tsp Amchur\Mango powder

Note: Have some additional Turmeric powder, Salt and oil set aside for marinating the Kerala.


1. Wash the Kerelas thoroughly

2. Slice Kerelas into thin circular discs, and mix in some oil, salt and turmeric. Set it aside for 15-20 minutes. This helps cutting down the bitterness of Kerela

3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a wok and stir in cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste along with green chilis for 1-2 minutes

4. Now add onions and saute until it turns golden brown

5. Add sliced Kerela to the wok, and let it cook for 15-20 minutes by stirring it

6. Now add Turmeric powder, Red Chili powder, Amchur, Salt, Lime juice and give it a good mix. Let it cook for another 10 minutes.

7. Once the Kerela is soft and cooked, add the Coriander powder and mix it well into it

Note: More lime juice can added as per taste.

                     Enjoy Kerela Masala with hot rotis!!

Recipe to Chocolate ganache in 5 minutes:)

Recipe to Chocolate Ganache:

Chocolate, chocolate chips, ganache, recipe, recipes, home cooking, homemade, Cake icing, cake frosting


  1. 1 Cup baking chocolate chips
  2. 1/2 Cup Heavy cream


1. Warm up the heavy cream in a pan until its Luke warm (just before the boiling point)

2. Take the pan off the stove, add the chocolate chips and give it a good mix until its smooth

3. Set the ganache aside to cool until it has thickened to pouring consistency

For the Tortillas:

  1. 2 Cups of All purpose flour\Maida (lump free)
  2. 1/4-1/2 Cup of Water
  3. 2 Tbsp of Luke warm Ghee\Clarified butter

For the Stuffing:

  1. 1 Cup fresh Khoya\Khoya powder
  2. 2 Tbsp of dry grated Coconut
  3. 1 tsp of Ghee
  4. 1/2 Cup of Sugar
  5. 10-15 finely chopped Cashews\Kaju
  6. 10-15 finely chopped Almonds\Badam

Note: You can also add any other dry fruits as  desired:) Try avoiding Raisins as they can make the mixture sticky.


For making Stuffing:

1. Make sure to mash\grate the fresh Khoya

2. Heat Ghee in a  wok on low flame

3. Slowly add the khoya into the wok and stir

4. Make sure to keep stirring the khoya, to avoid it from burning and let it cook until soft

5. Now take the the khoya mixture off the flame and set it aside

6. When the khoya mixture is still luke warm; add sugar, coconut, and chopped dry fruits and mix it gently

7. Now stuffing mixture is ready:)

For making Tortillas:

1. Take the all purpose flour in a  bowl, add ghee to it and give it a good mix

2. Now slowly add water, to knead a good firm dough

3. Now make small dough balls and roll them to small thin tortillas (not too thin)

For the Gujjiyas:

1. In the tortillas, start filling the khoya stuffing

2. And Fold them as shown in the picture below

3. Make sure to close the ends using wet fingertips

4. Now heat oil in a wok for frying (vary the oil quantity as per size of the wok)

5. Slowly slide in the Stuffed Gujjiyas and fry until they turn golden brown

  Your yummy Gujjiyas are ready to be savored!!:)
